What causes people to like art?

What causes people to like art?

Art is everywhere around us and almost everybody likes it. Everybody has their own opinion and point-of-view in art. People always look at art from their own perspective. They all like it for a reason. Whether a person is looking at a painting or a painter is painting a painting, he/she will always have a deep feeling for it.
Other than love, art also makes the world go round. We are all surrounded by it so it is hard not to like it.  There are many reasons why people enjoy creating art. People do it because they feel inspired by something, some people do it for their passion and others just do it because they have to get something off of their chest.  It all depends what the person is feeling and if there is a meaning behind the artwork.
Inspirations become meaning for a person. For example, people who want to help fight a cause might paint a mural on the streets. They want other people to help them fight the cause by using art. The art will get the attention of the people and cause them to help out. Another example is art therapy at hospitals. Patients become painters once they come in contact with paint. The outcome of the picture is all depending on how the patient is feeling. If the patient is feeling sad, the outcome of the painting will be depressing. The cause of the depressing painting is the patient’s sadness.
Finally, another thing that art makes us do is become more creative. The more creative a person is the more open he/she is to the world. They begin to create new images in their head and draw it on paper just like architects. Architectures are the people who sketch out a building before it is built. They look at other buildings to get ideas and also listen to what the owner of the building wants. The sketch will later be transformed into a huge or small building.
Since art is all around, people will create more and more new things to get inspired from. Art will always be the cause of people’s inspiration. There is always a reason for loving art. Everybody has their own reason. I love art because it helps me out emotionally. What do you love about art?

Digital Painting VS. Acrylic Painting VS. Watercolor Painting

In art there are many branches such as digital drawing, regular painting, acrylic painting, watercolor painting, etc. They are all similar but still have their differences. All branches of art make us happy and annoyed at times. They all have their advantages and disadvantages.
First up is digital art. I personally use digital art because it is easy for me. An advantage for digital art is that it is fixable. One can always go back and change errors or mistakes. Another advantage is the tools that the digital program comes with. In any digital program such as Paint Tool Sai, Photoshop and more, there are many variations in tools which expand the artistic ability. A disadvantage is that if one did not save the file, and the computer shuts down, the artwork will disappear and one will have to restart everything. Another disadvantage is not knowing how to properly use a digital program. If used incorrectly, the artwork can be messed up or lost/deleted. Which is very annoying!
Second is acrylic painting. Acrylic paint is a mix between watercolor and oil painting. An advantage to acrylic painting is that the paint is water resistant. The painting cannot get any water damage so it is safe. Another advantage is that the paint will not “crack”. On regular paint, if the paint is very old one will begin to see cracks on it. A disadvantage is that if one makes a mistake, and the paint dries before it can be cleaned it will stay that way. The only thing left to do is cover it up with more paint.
Third is watercolor painting. Watercolor is a mixture of paint and water. In this mixture there is more water than paint. Watercolors are usually almost transparent due to the water. An advantage of watercolor is that it dries faster than other paints. Another is that it has great luminosity and mixing the pigment is easy. Also, it is easy to clean up because it already has water. A disadvantage is that mistakes are really hard to cover up. The substance in which the artist is painting on is wet and adding more water can damage the substance. Another disadvantage is the planning. One must plan very carefully before painting. One must choose the colors and the water amount carefully. Not many people have the patience to do this.
Even though they have their differences they do have similarities. One of them are that they are all time consuming. They all involve a long process. Another similarity is that they all begin with sketching. Whether it is on paper or poster they all begin the same way. One last similarity is that they can all be sold to the public. It is a good way to make money with art.
Every branch in art begins the same way but all have a different ending. Art tests our patience. Sometimes things may go wrong and end up giving up on a piece. In time one learns how to deal with the mistakes and eventually become great artist.
