Have you ever complained about not knowing how to draw? Art is not about drawing. It has many forms such as sculpting, music, painting etc. I would like to focus on Asian art. I really like the Asian culture, and I also love art so I have incorporated them into one topic. In reality, we all know a little about art without being professionals. Art is truly all around us. In this essay, I will be talking about art in general.


One of the mostly known forms is drawing. It is seen everywhere we go. When one looks outside, when watching TV, or just by simply closing one's eyes and picturing something that one loves the most. Another art form is music. Many people would say that music is not art but in reality it is. Music is something created by one's imagination played through musical notes. It is also created through inspiration which is what art is about.

Painting is used a lot for therapy. Painting makes a people feel calm and let their stress run away. It serves a purpose especially for people with depression or people who have a hard time bringing out their true nature into the light. The colors show how the painter is feeling inside. It is like they are talking to paper and that is why it feels good to paint. Painting may not work for everybody because not everybody will feel good after painting.. I can relate to this because when I draw, I feel myself giving into the paper showing what i truly feel. When I am done, I look at what I created and feel good afterwards.

There are many careers out there that needs art. Without art, stores and companies would look dull and plain. Nobody would really go into a dull store unless they really have too. Art is used to capture the attention of an audience, bringing people in and out of their stores. Schools should add more art into their course list because it will help students bring out their creative sides.

Whether a person can draw or not, it does not mean one is not talented. Art is not about being the best. It is about how you interpret you feelings into paper. Everybody is an artist through music, sculpting, painting, drawing, etc. So, do not complain about not being a great artist, complain because you do not have enough pencils and papers to draw on.
