Art Is The Best way to Express Feelings

Andreina De Haza

Art is the best way to express feelings. It frees a person’s mind and helps them get away from depression for a temporary time. It brings out how they really feel. Most doctors think that art is a great way to express emotions. However it is up to the person as an artist feels.
Many people always worry about other’s opinion. In art, one can do whatever one wants and not worry about what other people say or think. Art has no right or wrong answer. It only matters how one feels. If one is sad, then one can just draw or paint in dark colors and if another person does not like it, it does not matter because that drawing or painting was meant to make one feel better not them. If they do like it, then that is good because after it is done they can talk about the work of art and what it really means.
For some people it is hard to show how they feel with emotions. With art they can pour out their heart on paper and show others how they feel. For other people another way is expressing art physically like dancing and singing. The dance style and the song choice express their inner feelings. A sad song can move a person to tears and make them remember about events that happened in the past. For people who love dancing, they will pour their hearts out on stage and perform to the max and at the end of a performance, they will feel relieved. Even if they dance around in their room by themselves, they will feel confident.
Scientifically, it is proven that art helps people who are depressed or have stress. Art helps patients who are ill or have diseases. Although it is not a long term solution, patients at least have something to distract them from the pain and depression. "It might be that the relationships that form during the creative arts participation help the patients focus on something else, he said. Or the music, art or writing themselves could be a simple distraction that moves the mind away from anxiety, depression and pain. "I think it is both," Loscalzo said."(Cite)
Art helps many people focus on letting their feelings come out. It helps them be relieved and forget about their negative feelings, especially patients. No matter what art branch is being used, art will always help one way or another.
